Creativity reveals itself in all kinds of art and emotions. For Simonne, her creativity comes to life through the lens of a digital video camera. A graduate of the Coronado School of the Arts where she honed her craft, Simonne is so dedicated to her passion that she fundraised to earn money for travel to Ghana in order to shoot and produce a documentary about teen labor issues. Her film “Kayayo – A Trip to The Market” was accepted to the Red Rock Film Festival and received rave reviews. When she wasn’t creating videos, Simonne found time to volunteer for Saint Vincent de Paul, Head Start, and Habitat for Humanity, to name a few. In a world that sometimes lacks vision, Simonne is able to bring things into sharp focus and was awarded the inaugural Tyler King Changemaker Award of $5000 in recognition for her commitment to creating awareness through documentary film making.
