Sewit Tesfamicael

Sewit Tesfamicael

It is with grace and grit that Sewit has helped support her family and raise her three younger siblings, all the while thriving academically, serving her community, and bringing the heat on the basketball court. Hers is truly an indomitable spirit, and the responsibility and resilience that that she possesses are a model for anyone of any age. It should come as no surprise, then, that Sewit plans to pursue a career in the FBI in order to help victims of violent crime. Her ability to be firm while patient, and ambitious while selfless, will serve her not only in her studies at UCLA and in her career, but as a changemaker in our greater global community. And as she pursues these and many other dreams, we know she will find the time for a little Silent Disco and sand castle building, and that she will graciously and generously share her determined smile and purposeful repose with others.
