High School: The Preuss School
College: UC Los Angeles
Michael Comaduran’s high school activity list reads like the resume of an accomplished executive. In addition to excelling academically at Preuss on the Principal’s Honor Roll, he served as Student Government treasurer, treasurer for Model United Nations and president of NOBCChE (National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers) as president. Numerous personal circumstances hindered Michael from getting a running start in his grade school education yet he pushed through barriers to excel and become the first in his family to attend college. And despite being ridiculed because his lacrosse stick was taller than he in high school, he became team captain and has since earned a spot on UCLA’s Division 1 lacrosse team. Michael is looking forward to a career in the medical field and has already entered a pre-med psycho-biology major program at UCLA. We’re grateful and proud that Michael will dedicate his life’s work to helping others in such a meaningful way.
