Joshua Segal
A boundary-breaker and connection-maker, Josh epitomizes the ability to be genuinely true to all parts of one’s self and to helping others do the same. As an aspiring child psychologist, he sees an opportunity to help young adults embrace and capitalize on their strengths and to acknowledge and work through challenges. He has created programs to help Jewish teens apply Orthodox teachings to modern moral decisions, living out his belief that it is only by being willing to be vulnerable and take risks that we are able to accomplish goals of true significance. The University of Maryland community will be blessed by his presence and inspirited by his leadership. Josh has the ability to look you in the eye and tell you without words that you are cared for and that you are being heard. His “go big or go home” attitude is evident in his deep-rooted, undying and authentic commitment to caring for others and helping each one of us embrace and love ourselves.
