High School: The Preuss School
College: UC Berkeley
Preuss School graduate Jocelynn Nobouphasavanh is the epitome of multi-talented. She is an artist who finds unparalleled beauty in both creating a hardedge panel painting or a well crafted comic strip. She is a creative writer, having authored her first book while still in high school. She is an accomplished flutist and percussionist who performed for years with the San Diego Youth Symphony. And she has a third degree black belt in Karate. She earned her Sunflower Scholarship for her volunteer work with The Ray and Joan Kroc Center, the Little Saigon Foundation and the San Diego Museum of Art. As a freshman at UC Berkeley, Jocelynn is multi-interested, taking classes in art history, Japanese, classics and rhetoric and . . . Pokemon!
Words I live by-
“Don’t ever give up or lose sight of your dreams, no matter what happens, and work towards accomplishing them. College is all up to you– by committing yourself to achieve in college and beyond, you can accomplish your dreams.”
