Jenna Belknap

High School: Poway High School
College: UC Los Angeles

Jenna Belknap is a live wire.  At Poway High, she dashed across trails in Varsity Cross Country, kicked her way across fields in Varsity Soccer, and raced around the tracks in Varsity Track and Field. An unstoppable force of energy, Jenna has come to learn there’s no holding back when it comes to pursuing one’s passions. Her passions, however, are not limited to tracks and fields.  She was high school Peer Counseling leader, treasurer and — a goal she set freshman year — president. Chelsea King was among Jenna’s closest friends and her heartbreaking loss presented a fork in the road for Jenna – depression and defeat or triumph and strength.  She triumphantly rose up and founded “A Light to Change the World,” a campus club that would further Chelsea’s own ideals such as promoting the use of reusable water bottles and the importance of teenage nutrition.  With life changing experiences and proven mottos under her belt, Jenna is now studying at UCLA with an eye on the medical field.  She has already started a physiological sciences major and joined the Alpha Phi sorority which is committed to “help one another and their communities.”

Words I live by-
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
