Before even graduating from high school Alex was already an award-winning journalist and film maker. Alex realizes that, “the power of a single idea can bring people together through the experiences we all share, rather than dividing us.” Using his passion for communicating, Alex has been able to use words and visuals to unite people and create change. His talents have not gone unnoticed – he is the youngest recipient of the prestigious San Diego Press Club Award for the weekly column he penned for the Valley Road Runner and was awarded first place for his film “Boy on the Moon” at San Diego County’s Innovative Video in Education Film Festival. Alex’s interests are as varied as they are diverse – film, drama, music, sports (he was recovering from a skateboarding accident when we first met him!), and community service. His powerful combination of talent, interest and drive make Alex a force to be reckoned with. There’s no limit to what he will accomplish!
Words I live by:
